Web User Experience Designer/Coder

At Ludic Labs we're inventing a new generation of innovative social-media applications. We're looking for a few very talented folks to join our team!

We are looking for a web design/coding expert, familiar with state-of-the-art web standards technologies, to wireframe, renderm and code features/pages for a major consumer web app.

The role is 10% interaction design, 20% artwork creation, and 70% state-of-the-art, pixel-perfect HTML/CSS hand-coding for multiple browsers.

You will work in a small team, helping to conceive user interactions, and taking them quickly from mockups to production UIs. You must be able to take photoshop visuals and be able to render them to state-of-the-art, hand-coded, pixel-perfect HTML/CSS that work on all browsers. You will also be responsible for the continuing critique and improvement of the product visuals and usability.

This is a great opportunity for an artistic designer/coder with exceptional HTML/CSS skills to develop world-class, high-visibility designs used by millions of people.

Qualifications

  • Expert at state-of-the-art, hand-coded XHTML/CSS.
  • Expert at converting visual art to accurate HTML/CSS.
  • Expert at CSS box models and browser defects.
  • Skilled at user interaction design and low-fidelity wireframing.
  • Strong Photoshop and vector illustration skills.
  • Built cross-browser, dynamic web UIs for database-driven web sites.
  • Experience designing for consumer/entertainment web apps.
  • Academic foundations a plus.
  • Strong and attractive portfolio of work (that you can share).
  • Must be smart-thinking, with a great sense of humor.
  • Must have work visa, and be able to work on-site.
